Today we walked from the other side of the Forvie Nature reserve to Collieston and towards Old Slains Castle on the coastal path
A cold but beautiful day with blue sky and low golden winter sun perfect for topping up the much needed vitamin D at this time of year.

Forvie is protected with a Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs)
Those areas of land and water that we consider best represent our natural heritage in terms of their: flora, fauna, geology, geomorphology and natural features
This side of the reserve is visually different to the other side close to Newburgh. The landscape is rich in wetlands, heath and moors
