I used to walk here with my family a lot as a child. My Dad was originally from Woodside, near here. The River Don long ago was an industrial river and laterally was home to paper mills. A history of snuff mills, calico-printing and cotton mills from the 1800’s. Below are old sluice gates from the cotton mill at Woodside.
Its a lovely shaded woodland walk from Bridge of Don to Aberdeen beach with lots of wildlife such as Swans and Kingfishers
